Backpacks, bags, and other gear used in hunting must meet the highest standards, be absolutely reliable, and long-lasting. We have always placed great importance on combining classic materials, good design, and careful craftsmanship into excellent products. The fact that our backpacks and bags have found many fans outside the hunting community over time motivated us to create a second brand. Just as the WALDKAUZ represents hunting, wildlife, and the forest for us, the STEINKAUZ stands for hiking, leisure, mountains, and nature experiences!

The basic idea has remained the same – high-quality designer gear with a sense for beauty. What has changed are the requirements: STEINKAUZ products do not necessarily need to be silent, they can be more colorful than the hunter's gear allows, and they should convince not only under harsh conditions but also in everyday use – on the way to work or school, while walking the dog, or on a vacation hike.

As with WALDKAUZ, all products are designed and developed in our own studio, and a large part is also produced locally. Together with our diligent employees, we are constantly working on new ideas, and as soon as a product is finished, we have new goals in mind. To be able to put our energy into these projects, we have a number of small, quality-oriented partners, so-called intermediate masters, who manufacture some of our products for us and pay the same attention to craftsmanship as we do.

The choice of materials for our products follows a simple principle: quality over price and nature over plastic! This means that we always make a product from the materials that seem best suited for the respective purpose. Whenever possible, these products should be made from natural raw materials. However, where it makes sense, we do not shy away from the advantages that modern materials sometimes bring.

This uncompromising commitment to quality results in high-quality products that are worth their price in every sense of the word. We want you to hold a product in your hands that you will enjoy for a long time. Our products are timeless. They are not meant to last just one season and then be discarded; they are meant to accompany you for many years, to wear out, gain a patina, and age with honor. Should any part be damaged one day, contact us. We will usually find a way to extend its life in the great outdoors.
