When it came to materials, the direction was clear early on. Waxed cotton brings exactly the qualities you appreciate on the go: it’s durable, resilient, and can handle a rain shower without much concern. The fact that the material develops its own patina over time fits well with our idea of items that stay with you for the long run. We deliberately chose loden for the back panel—not out of nostalgia, but for practical reasons: to prevent any color transfer onto clothing when the bag is freshly waxed or used in damp weather.Inside, the focus wasn’t on “as many compartments as possible,” but on placing the right things in a sensible way. The main compartment is fully padded and holds your laptop, documents, and daily essentials without requiring much thought about organization. It’s complemented by two flat zip pockets for smaller items that otherwise tend to disappear. The removable felt sleeve is essentially a result of real-world use: sometimes you need extra protection, sometimes you just want to quickly take the laptop with you separately. Both are easily handled this way. In the front compartment, we allowed ourselves a bit more freedom—though still with a system. Pens, cables, phone, business cards: everything has its designated place without feeling cluttered. The layout becomes almost intuitive after using the bag for a few days. You can carry the bag either traditionally by hand or over the shoulder. The combination of webbing and leather handles ensures comfort even when the bag is more fully packed. Originally developed as a fishing bag for spin fishing and fly fishing (hence the name!), it has found many fans in various fields during its prototype phase. Built to Last The exterior of the bag is made from British waxed cotton from a traditional mill. All external seams are sewn with extra-strong thread, and parts subjected to special stress are additionally reinforced with leather. The material mix of waxed cotton, genuine leather, and a cotton webbing strap makes this bag a rugged and reliable item that exudes trustworthiness. A practical outdoor bag The main compartment of the bag, lined with a sturdy fabric, has a volume of approximately 10 liters. Besides this main compartment, the bag features seven additional pockets. Two are located on the front, closed with a flap and Velcro, and another large zippered pocket is on the rear side. On each side, there are two narrow, open pockets for quick access. Inside, there are two more open pockets made from lining fabric. The 4 cm wide carrying strap made of cotton webbing is adjustable in length with a slider. The practical LOXX bayonet closures on the flap can be easily opened and closed with one hand by lifting slightly.
